Your mom invited me over for tea tomorrow. I’m looking out for her, but I’m sure she’s surrounded by love and community as well. We are all doing ok. An old friend of yours asked me “when did you know Sam?” I told him, “my previous life”.

Forgetting is easy; despite that, I hope when someone asks me that question in my next life, and I’d answer the same. One of the things I love most about you is the ease with which you move through life - always talking to strangers (cab drivers, cleaning ladies, person next to you at the bar) and taking a genuine curiosity for their human experience.

There aren’t many like you anymore. I hope to carry a little more of your spirit so that our world still benefits from having a bright spark amongst us. I miss you, I love you, thank you.
